GAS APPLIANCE SERVICE

All residential, landlord, & letting agent customers please note that payment is required upfront  or on the day for LANDLORD SAFETY INSPECTION CERTIFICATION & SERVICE of GAS APPLIANCES. 

GAS CERTIFICATES
At present VSB Plumbing Services issue paper based landlord safety certificates CP12 and Warning notices CP14.

BOILER INSTALLATION & SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS (USER)

Please provide Make, model, serial number and GC number when communicating with VSB Plumbing Services if possible as this will help a great deal. It is important when arranging a service or repair that you provide the user manual and servicing manual to ensure service and repair is carried out to manufacturer's instructions. We can obtain most manuals (Subject to availability from the manufacturer) for a nominal fee or free if in PDF form.

SERVICE KITS

If the boiler requires a service kit then this is an extra cost on top of the service that is provided by VSB Plumbing Services (these items in the majority of cases will have to be ordered before a service can take place). Please provide Make, model, serial number and GC number. This information can be found on the manufacturers plate attached to the boiler somewhere or quote the information on the manufacturer’s installation & service instructions.

ANNUAL BOILER/GAS APPLIANCE SERVICE

Whether the property is privately owned or rented as a standard practice during the Gas Safety Check/Service, we also test the soundness of the whole gas system, including the installation pipework, visual inspection of the gas pipework and meter installation in the inspected property. Other gas engineers may not do so.

It is vital that your boiler and other gas appliances are regularly checked and maintained to check for continued safe operation, help spot any future issues and gas safety regulations.

An annual boiler service includes the following checks:

• Flue ways and terminals
• Ventilation provision
• Gas pressure and where required heat input
• All safety devices
• The following boiler components:
• Heat exchangers
• Burners
• Combustion fan
• Seals (gas and water)
• Ignition systems
• Performance test (on all boilers with a suitable test point and where required)
• All visible pipe work and controls
• Expansion tank (and vessel) and associated components
• Advice on the use of your present controls more efficiently

 The above is a representative boiler service with VSB Plumbing Services, if you require additional works to your system to repair or bring up to safety standard you will be advised of the cost of these, we will also offer you any advice.

Invoices are paper based. However a computer generated PDF invoice can be provided.
